Meet Dr. Hartsfield

Dr. Don Hartsfield, a general dentist, is the owner and founder of Lone Star Orthodontics since 2006. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. After serving in the infantry of the U.S. Army, Dr. Hartsfield worked in the petrochemical industry in Dallas and Houston on an army scholarship. He graduated from the University of Texas Dental School in Houston with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).

In 1980, Dr. Hartsfield served his general practice residency with the U.S. Army at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. After serving at Ft. Hood for three years, he opened his private general/family practice in Austin in 1983.

He and his wife Dorothy began Lone Star Orthodontics in Manor, Texas in 2006. They have four children and seven grandchildren. He enjoys his free time with his family, tennis, golf, hiking, and camping and has served with his church and other Christian organizations by using his talents on dental mission trips here and abroad.
